2. Repair the equipment's software and slight operating problems

• The software: One of the most common failures of the VW RNS 510, Skoda Columbus and Seat Mediasystem 1.0 equipments. Equipment's software/firmware derivative problems that totally disables the equipment and without operating possibilities.

• This failure can appear in different ways, between them, the equipment restarts constantly or the screen remains black. In the case of attempt to update the software without success, appearing a kind of message: Software Error, Error 202 or similar, in the majority of cases this can be repairable. 5. HDD Repair/replacement and formatting service

• When the “MEDIA” function isn't available, the navigation “NAV” function and the maps “MAP” function are non-operating or appears a message like “restarting the system”, it means that the hard disk is damaged or defective.

• It's not possible to change the hard disk without further ado, because a part of the operative system it's recorded at it. In these cases it's necessary to replace the hard disk and add the appropiate software.

6. Power Board Repair/replacement service

• The electronic power's plate, where connect the vehicle's quadlock connector. This electronic plate may have 2 common problems:

• 1. The equipment don't start nor response to the start button.
• 2. Speakers don't sound.

7. TFT/LED monitor Repair/replacement service

• Other most common failure of the RNS 510, it's the blank screen or without image. Apparently all works fine, the audio system sounds through the vehicle's speakers, the equipment responds to the buttons, but the screen remains blank.

• On most cases, may be the monitor's electronic board stops working for some reason, in other cases the TFT/LED panel it's damaged.

8. Middle Radio board Repair/replacement service

• The electronic plate or intermediate, it's the plate responsible of the reception and the operation of radio stations, GPS, gyroscope, and remaining reception functions and data transmission.

9. Mainboard Repair/replacement service

• The RNS 510 navigation system mainboard's it's a very delicated component, most of the times it's damaged when triyng to update the software equipment's with damaged or corrupted data (firmware) downloaded via internet, other times for a power surge or simply because a processor stop working.

• The most common symptom to identify a damaged mainboard it's checking the comunication with the vehicle (Can-Bus).

• You must check that the equipment responds to the following orders:

• On/Off automatic switching when strats the vehicle's ignition (key)

• Buttons lighting when turning the vehicle's light switch

• In case of the equipment don't respond to this orders, it means that the mainboard it's damaged. This service includes the load of the last version maps at the hard disk.
